PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an accuracy of measuring temperature of a molten resin P by keeping a sufficient contact length with the molten resin P in a barrel 3. SOLUTION: An extruder 1 is provided with a barrel 3 having a resin transferring chamber 2 and an introducing conduit 16 in communication with the resin transferring chamber 2, an extruding screw 4 rotably housed in the resin transferring chamber 2, a filling valve 19 filled in the introducing conduit 16 movably in the axis direction thereof and a temperature sensor 21 the temperature- measuring portion 33 of which is protrudable and withdrawable into the temperature measuring space 20 held within the introducing conduit 16 by moving the filling valve 19 in such a direction that it recedes from the resin transferring chamber 2.
