PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for molding a foamable base material capable of assuring a uniform foaming level over an entire surface without necessity of a large-scale facility. SOLUTION: The method for molding the foamable base material comprises the steps of arranging a lifter mechanism 60 in a lower mold 40 for mold press molding, primarily pressurizing a foamable resin material M in upper and lower molds 30 and 40 for mold press molding, then forcibly raising the mold 30 at a predetermined stroke by the mechanism 60, effectively assuring a foaming space of the material M, then foam reacting the material, and then secondarily pressurizing in the molds 30 and 40, thereby molding the formable base material 11 having good quality performance without foaming unevenness. |
