PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that conventional technique is based on batch treatment and can not be adapted to a small-sized incinerator the temperature of which is not controlled or hard to control and which is operated at a low temperature. SOLUTION: This catalyst for decomposing an organochlorine compound is constituted by supporting a mixture of a metal oxide 1 forming a composite oxide and a noble metal 2 on a porous carrier and can keep catalytic activity even at a low temperature and can be adapted to the small-sized incinerator low in temperature.
