<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight golf ball which has a good ball hitting feel and excellent repulsion performance without impairing excellent durability. SOLUTION: A core of the lightweight golf ball consisting of the core and a cover to cover the core consists of a vulcanized molding of a rubber composition containing (a) base material rubber, (b) zinc acrylate, (c) organic peroxide and (d) zinc oxide and/or zinc stearate as essential components. The total zinc content in the rubber composition is 2.0 to 10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of base material rubber and the weight ratio (B/A) of the zinc content (B) in the zinc stearate to the total zinc content (A) is 0.50 to 0.98. In addition, the specific gravity of the golf ball is >=0.5 to <1.0.</p> |
