摘要 The heated roller (1) has a unified mantle (2) along its length, without end flanges, with an inner mantle support structure (4). The connecting channels (9,13) for the heating medium are flexible tubes or hoses. The heated roller has a mantle which is packed with a filling material, from one end to the other. The connecting channels for the heating medium are linked to the feed channel (6) and exhaust channel (15) for the heating medium into and out of the roller assembly. A distributor (8) is at the roller axis (3) to give the incoming heating medium flow a radial deflection into the connecting channel. A similar distributor (14) gathers the heating medium outflow from the connecting channel into the exhaust channel. The heating channels (5) at the roller mantle, equidistant around the mantle, extend along the whole mantle length. Each heating channel is linked to the heating medium feed at one end and to the exhaust for the outflow at the other end. Each distributor is fitted with a controlled throttle or valve. The roller mantle is of metal, and the interior packing material is porous with a low thermal conductivity, a honeycomb, cellular or foam material. Or the filling material can be a polymer without pores, with a low thermal conductivity. The roller has an electrical resistance or induction heating system, in the heating channels, to raise the temperature of the heating medium flows.
