A method for color matching of a bright paint by using a computer color matching apparatus comprising (A) a colorimeter, (B) a micro brightness samp le color chart, (C) a computer where formulations of paints, color data and mic ro brightness data corresponding to the formulations, color characteristic data and micro brightness characteristic data on primary color paints are registered and color matching calculation logic operates, comprises the step s of (1) measuring the reference color with which the color of a paint is matched by means of the colorimeter to collect color data on the reference color, (2) comparing the reference color with the micro brightness sample color chart to determine the micro brightness of the reference color, and (3 ) comparing the color data and micro brightness data on the reference color wi th the color data and micro brightness data corresponding to the formulation registered in the computer to select the candidate paint formulations.</SDOA B>
