VOICE-BRAILLE COMBINED TERMINAL FOR E-BOOK

PURPOSE: A voice-braille combined terminal for an E-book(Electronic book) is provided to output various information of an e-book in a voice and braille form. CONSTITUTION: A character recognition device(3) converts a character information of an E-book(1) such as a CD ROM or a diskette into a voice form. The character recognition device(3) includes a database(5) which has a voice data such as Korean, English, special character, etc. A controller(4) which analyzes a construction of a sentence is connected with a central processing unit(2). An ASCII converter(11) converts a text of the E-book into an ASCII code. A braille code converter(12) converts an ASCII code into a braille code. An output unit(13) receives a braille code. The braille output unit(13) includes an electronic magnetic relay and braille head units. The central processing unit(2) controls various selective function keys(7,8,9,10) and the e-book(1), the character recognition device(3), the ASCII code converter(11) and the braille code converter(12) in response to a control signal at every time.
