METHOD AND CIRCUIT FOR DRIVING SECOND HARMONIC GENERATOR

PURPOSE: A method and a circuit for driving the second harmonic generator are provided to automatically control driving current of a laser diode according to temperature and time so as to minimize an abrupt variation in optical power. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for driving the second harmonic generator includes a current driver(100) for providing current to a laser diode(LD), a sensor(200) for sensing a laser beam of the second harmonic, and a TEC driver(300) for comparing the power of the sensed beam with a predetermined voltage to drive a TEC according to the compared result. The circuit further includes a circuit(400) for judging whether or not the power of the sensed beam is reduced, and a current increment circuit(500) for providing current to be increased to the current drive according to a control signal of the judgement circuit.
