PURPOSE: A water softener is provided to soften water excellently by completely regenerating ion exchange resin using a creating method of eddy current through the resin that is made by atomizing water through atomizing hole. CONSTITUTION: The softener comprises a soft water tank(10), a hard water supplying pipe(12), a feed water valve assembly, a soft water discharge pipe(15) and a wash water discharge pipe(13). During water softening process, water enters through hard water inlet at feed water valve assembly, flow upward through hard water supplying pipe(12) set at the center, flow downward through ion exchange resin filled in the room between the soft water tank(10) and hard water supplying pipe(12) and discharged through soft water discharge valve(15). During regeneration process, wash water enter through water flow converting valve(35) set at the valve assembly with the hard water inlet closed, wash water chamber(23), atomizing holes for eddy current and flow upward through ion exchange resin then discharged through contaminated water discharge line(13) set at the top.
