PURPOSE: A method and a circuit for driving a display device are provided to perform an arbitrary partial display at an arbitrary position without changing the constitution of a display panel. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display(LCD) device provided with pixels having a matrix with n rows and m columns or the like, includes an LCD panel(200) made by inserting a liquid crystal material between a pair of substrates, a driving circuit(100) for driving the LCD panel(200), a power supplying circuit(300) for applying a power to the LCD panel(200) and the driving circuit(100). The LCD panel(200) is provided with a thin film transistor in each pixel as a switching device, each of the thin film transistors is controlled through a data line extending in a column direction of the pixels. The driving circuit(100) includes a latch circuit(101) for latching an RGB digital data supplied from thereto, a digital-to-analog(D/A) converter(102) for converting the latched data into an analog data, an amplifier(104) for amplifying the converted analog data and for supplying the amplified analog data to H driver(220) of the LCD panel(200) as R, G, B analog data.
