摘要 PURPOSE: A spreading system and method using a balanced duo-binary decoder/encoder are provided, which reduces peak/average power ratio by using the balanced duo-binary decoder/encoder to facilitate designing of a radio-frequency circuit. CONSTITUTION: A balanced duo-binary decoder/encoder includes a duo-binary encoding means(400) for receiving the positive signal of input data to generate a duo-binary signal, and a duo-binary encoding means(410) for receiving the negative signal of the input data to generate a duo-binary signal. The duo-binary decoder/encoder further has a transmitter for respectively multiplying the duo-binary signals by an orthogonal carrier and a spread code, modulating, adding up and transmitting the signals, and a balanced duo-binary decoder(41) for respectively multiplying the received duo-binary signals by the orthogonal carrier and spread code to remove the carrier and obtaining the absolute values of the signals.
