PURPOSE: A discharge air recirculation type vacuum cleaner is provided to prevent a motor in a cleaner body from being overheated, to improve cleaning efficiency and to enhance safety by discharging a portion of the discharged recirculated air through a discharge unit. CONSTITUTION: A discharge air recirculation type vacuum cleaner has a cleaner body divided into a suction path and a discharge path, a suction unit installed in the suction path, a connecting pipe having a suction pipe connected to the suction path and a discharge pipe connected to the discharge path, and a suction brush(30) connected to the end of the connecting pipe. The suction brush has a coupling pipe unit(31) having a suction passage(31a) and a discharge passageway(31b), a cover unit(33) extended from the coupling unit and a dividing plate(35). The cover unit has a discharge unit(33a) made of porous plastic. Many porosities are formed in the discharge unit. The dividing plate is installed in the cover unit to divide the suction passage from the discharge passage. Suction air repeatedly circulates between the cleaner body and the suction brush. A portion of the air discharge recirculated to the suction brush from the cleaner body is discharged out through the discharge unit. According to the porosities of the discharge unit, just a small amount of air is discharged. Fresh air is joined to the discharged recirculated air in small doses. Therefore, a motor in the cleaner body is cooled continuously.
