ATM FLC-C SYSTEM FOR ANNULAR NETWORK STRUCTURE AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT METHOD THEREIN

PURPOSE: An ATM FLC-C(Fiber Loop Carrier-Curb) system for an annular network structure and a traffic management method therein are provided to form an annular network as a backplane structure in order to efficiently use limited optical transmission line band resources. CONSTITUTION: An ATM FLC-C system is composed of an HDT(Host Digital Terminal)(200) and a plurality of ONUs(Optical Network Units)(202-206). The HDT(200), connected to an external network, transmits the transmission signals transmitted from the external network to the ONUs(202-206). The ONUs(202-206) form a ring of an annular network structure with the HDT(200). Each ONU(202-206) drops the transmission signals downloaded from the HDT(200) to associated subscribers or transfers them to the neighboring ONUs.
