PURPOSE: A business item accounting system of an automated teller machine(ATM) is provided to remove economical burden of on-line system, and to help users to settle the account at a bank via off-line using a portable accounting electronic card. CONSTITUTION: The business item accounting system of an ATM consists of a memory for temporarily storing card information recorded in a consumer electronic card and an accounting electronic card and for saving business items using the consumer electronic card; a card reader for distinguishing a card injected to the ATM and for updating business item information for a relevant card; a security authentication unit for deciding if the injected electronic card is usable and for giving a security authentication code to the business item information; a timer for giving time information including the date and time of the business; an accounting processor for transferring the business item information stored in the memory to the accounting electronic card and for recording the transferred information; and a central processing unit for controlling overall operation of each unit. |
