METHOD FOR CULTURING PEARL BY ATTACHING PEARL NUCLEI TO INNER WALL OF PEARL SHELL

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for culturing pearl by attaching pearl nuclei to the inner wall of pearl shell, which allows mass production of pearls having a small size in a shorten period of time, thereby being capable of supplying pearls at a low price. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of (i) preparing a nuclei plate where a plurality of pearl nuclei(25) are fixed; (ii) perforating the shell(11) of a pearl shell(1) to be used as a mother-of-pearl, the perforation having a size sufficient for the nuclei plate to pass through; (iii) inserting the nuclei plate through the perforation of the shell(11) into the pearl shell(1), followed by fixing with an adhesive; (iv) filling the perforation with an aqueous bond; (v) stabilizing the pearl shell(1); and (vi) allowing the pearl shell(1) to produce a pearl using pearl material from pallial membrane(12).
