The burner (10), comprising a body (12) with a support (14) having main flame outlets (17) and a feed system for a mixture of fuel gas and oxidant air, incorporates an auxiliary combustion system with one or more injectors (32) for more or less pure gas, producing secondary turbulent jet flames. The support (14) has a head (15) of circular section, and the auxiliary injectors are positioned concentrically round it.
