PURPOSE: A method for renewing a database in a home zone region and a system therefor are provided so that a home location can be renewed from a base station and the home zone region can be newly set up according to the renewed home location by using a round trip delay(RTD) value. CONSTITUTION: Base stations(101,102,103) of a mobile communication system performs radio communication with a mobile communication terminal. When a subscriber is registered in a home zone service, the subscriber has a home zone region in the base stations(101,102,103). The base stations(101,102,103) are connected to a plurality of base station controllers(104). A mobile switching center(105) is connected to the plurality of base station controllers(104), and also connected to a home location register(106) and a public switched telephone network or mobile communication network(108). Here, the mobile switching center(105) receives an initial home zone region from the home location register(106), and stores it in a visitor location register. A home zone management server(107) is connected to an administrator terminal(109), for receiving initial data of the home zone service. In addition, the home zone management server(107) collects data from the mobile switching center(105), and renews a database of the home zone region according to the data. Moreover, the home zone management server(107) is connected to the home location register(106), for transmitting the initial home zone data or the renewed data to the home location register(106). |
