PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of rock wool which can recover the fiber excellent in quality without converting a existing facility and removing work of a shot. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the rock wool is that a molten material of contents adjusted blast furnace slag which is used as a main material is poured on a side surface of a cylinder body revolving with high speed with a horizontal axis, and by jetting air along the side surface in parallel direction to the axis, the molten material is scattered with centrifugal force and the air and is formed into a linear body, surface temperature of the molten material is measured on the side surface of the cylinder body, and the temperature of the molten material poured on the side surface is controlled so that the measured value is kept in the temperature range which is set previously.
