METHOD OF PRODUCING GLASS BLOCK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of a glass block having long lasting fireproof ability which never breaks on quenching after heating. SOLUTION: The glass block is made of two box-shaped glass-formed bodies 10a and 10b each having a bottom but a lid, where peripheries of both open ends are united in one body by melting and crystallized, which has a coefficient of thermal expansion of -20 to 20×10-7/ deg.C at the temperature ranging from 30 to 750 deg.C.
