PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function permitting straight advancing to a paper carriage path by restricting paper looping caused by the skewing of paper when supplied from a paper feeder and rubbing against the side wall portion of the paper feeder. SOLUTION: A ribbed restriction part 43 is integrally formed on the bottom face of a paper discharge stacked 4 arranged almost right over a paper feed cassette 3, in proximity to the inside of the side wall portion of the paper feed cassette and in the direction of feeding paper P. When paper feeding force is operated on the single side of the paper, skewing force on the paper works around a paper feed roller. When the paper moves while rubbing against the side wall portion of the paper feed cassette, local flotation occurs at the rear part of the paper to generate paper looping. The enlargement of the paper looping is suppressed by the restricting part, permitting straight advancing to the paper carriage path and preventing the occurrence of paper jam.
