PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barge launching device for easily launching a barge by stabilizing an attitude and a barge housing method capable of easily expanding the barge in a small numbe of people. SOLUTION: This barge launching device 10 has an inclined stage 22 capable of sliding down the barge 11 toward a sea surface, a suspender 18 having a releasing means 31 hooked on an upper part of a packing body 12 for housing the barge 11, a rope 23 fixed to the suspender 18 and a brake device 24 arranged on the base side of the rope 23 and keeping an attitude by restraining a sudden drop of the packing body 12 and the barge 11, and in the housing method of the barge 11, the barge 11 is bent in a zigzag shape on the packing body 12, fold lines 46 and 47 for making an upper surface 44 and an under surface 45 alternately appear outside are formed on both sides, and are foled up and superposed, the barge 11 is covered with the packing body 12, an edge part of the packing body 12 is aligned on the fold line 46 side for exposing the superposed upper surface 44 outside, the edge part is arranged on the upper side, and is transversely placed.
