The present invention relates to the field of plant breeding. It concerns a method of generating fertile whole plants from isolated microspores of wheat, more specifically it concerns a method for the production of wheat plants from microspores co-cultured with ovaries. In other aspects, this invention relates to the regerated plants, and to seeds and progeny of the regenerated plants derived from cultured microspores/ovaries. The invention also relates to the use of a method for generating fertile whole plants from isolated microspores of wheat. |
