PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for welding filament are provided to weld the filament between the taps and the filament fixing body by automatically supplying filament, taps and filament fixing body. CONSTITUTION: In a filament welding apparatus for welding the filament together with the tap onto the fixing body by positioning a plural filaments parallel to each other on a fixing body and corresponding taps to the upper part of both ends of each filaments, the apparatus for welding filament comprises a base(500); a fixing body supply means which is installed at the base(500) to transfer the fixing body to a certain welding position; a table on which the fixing body transferred to the certain welding position is rested; an ascending and descending means for ascending or descending the table from the welding position; a plural supply reels(110) on which the filament is coiled; a filament transfer means for positioning the each of the filaments(600) at the upper part of the fixing body by drawing out each filaments(600) from the supply reels(110); a tap supply means for supplying the taps to the upper part of the filaments positioned on the upper part of the fixing body from a direction perpendicular to a filament supply direction; a welding means for welding the taps and filaments to the fixing body; and a loading means for loading the filament welded fixing body.
