PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacity equalizing apparatus for capacitor wherein the remaining capacities of the cells comprising a battery can be equalized through a simple and low-cost system, by exercising ingenuity in combining the cells. SOLUTION: With a main switch 1 open, parallel-connected switches C1 to Cn in Group A and parallel-connected switches D1 to Dn in Group B are alternately and repeatedly turned on and off. When the parallel-connected switches C1 to Cn in Group A are turned on, cell A1 and cell B1, cell A2 and cell B2,..., and cell An and cell Bn are parallel-connected, respectively. When the parallel-connected switches DI to Dn in Group B are turned on, cell A2 and cell B1, cell A3 and cell B2,..., and cell An and cell B (n-1) are parallel- connected, respectively. By repeating this operation, the remaining capacities of the parallel-connected cells are equalized and thus all the cells are equalized. |
