PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power to be consumed in an image reader. SOLUTION: A power source control circuit 120 is driven by the power to be supplied from a controller 200 as an external device via a cable 150 and controls switching of a switch 104 according to an instruction from the controller 200. A DC power source 105 converts AC voltage to be supplied via the switch 104 into DC voltage and provides the voltage to respective parts such as a reading part 140. |
