摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a load on a circuit is large, and there are disadvantages in terms of a noise since the area of a band is large in a 2560×1440 image pickup device, and that there is nothing to display at once in a general standard display device in the present situation at the time of monitoring the image pickup picture. SOLUTION: In this image pickup device, a full image pickup area constituted of horizontal 2560 pixels and vertical 1440 pixels is divided into 8 strip areas 111-118 which are respectively constituted of horizontal 320 pixels and vertical 1440 pixels, and output amplifiers 141-148 are connected through horizontal reading circuits 131-138 to those respective strip areas. Then, two-dimensional picture data are time-sequentially read from those respective strip areas 111-118. Those respective strip areas 111-118 are all controlled in the same timing so that the picture data of the image pickup area divided into the horizontal 320 pixels and vertical 1440 pixels can be simultaneously obtained. Also, some of those 8 strip areas 111-118 are selectively driven so that the picture data can be read as signals for one screen.
