PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control irregularity in brightness in a backlight device using practically spot-like light source such as an LED. SOLUTION: Plural ditches 1321 of a virtually V-shaped cross-section are formed at the back of a light guide plate 13. The ditches 1321 are formed so that the ditches meander at a larger angle as the ditches come up to LED 231 and 232, by contraries meandering angles become smaller as the ditches are apart from the LED 231 and 232. Furthermore, each ditch is formed so that the depths of the ditches become deeper as the ditches are apart from the LED 231 and 232. |
