PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new kind of sound source elements which satisfactorily synthesizer an ultra-linguistically spoken voice on the basis of a sound source filter method. SOLUTION: A voice synthesizer is provided with a sound source module which generates a raw voice signal obtained by simulating oscillating sounds generated by the glottis and a filter module to which the raw voice signal is supplied and which applies a transfer function obtained by simulating the response of the vocal organs to the raw voice signal, and the sound source module is provided with a sound grain signal generation means which generates a continuous sound grain signal to constitute the raw voice signal and a sound grain signal spectrum control means which controls the spectrum of the sound grain signal in accordance with the state of cells of a cell automaton. |
