PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which has an intermediate developer carrying member and is used for a multicolor image forming device of a single drum system of a four rotation system which is capable of enhancing the throughput of output images while maintaining development stability and image quality stability. SOLUTION: This image forming device has a developing device of constitution having an intermediate developing belt 15 along respective developers 7 (7A to 7K), develops the belt 15 by the respective developers 7 to form toner layers of respective colors, transports the toners of the respective toners by the belt to a photosensitive drum 1 and develops the latent images on the photosensitive drum. The resultant toner images of the respective colors are superposed on the intermediate transfer belt 11 and are primarily transferred. The images are then secondarily transferred to a transfer material P. The toners remaining after the development on the belt 15 are electrostatically charged by an electrostatic charger 90 to make the electrostatic charge quantity of the toners remaining after the development adequate in order to make the toners remaining after the development usable again for development. |
