The motorized rake has a rotor formed of two half shells (3,4) to define a rotor body for rotation around an axis (x). The shells have radially extending tines (72) extending from them. Each half shell can be hollow and have the tine tools mounted on the curved inner face to extend through to the exterior. The tines each have an axis attached to the curved inner faces of the shells.
