<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia data editing device which can edit data decoded by an old decoder, remove unnecessary audio data, create encoded audio data corresponding to editing point of image and synchronize image and audio data even if new encoded data is created by editing. SOLUTION: An encoded multimedia data is separated into encoded image and audio data by a demultiplexing part 10. An editing control part 11 indicates an editing point of data decoded from each encoded data. Decoded image data is encoded in frame by a DCT part 126, a quantization part 127 and a variable length encoder 128. An adding and modifying part for header information 13 modifies header information. A replacing part for image bit stream 15 replaces with encoded data of image frame at the editing point.</p> |
