PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing engine for generating the value of sum-of- product(SOP) of incoming data. SOLUTION: The processing engine 10 is provided with a calculation module 30 for generating an intermediate value and the SOP value on the basis of the incoming data are a coefficient value, and the intermediate value is defined corresponding to a product value and partial temporary added value. A feedback module 50 stores the intermediate value until the calculation module generates the SOP value. The processing engine is provided with a reorder module 70 for relocating SOP values. The feedback module is provided with a switching mechanism 52 for drawing the intermediate value from the calculation module until the calculation module generates the SOP value. A feedback RAM 53 can store the intermediate value without requiring a RAM for an input stage. Further, the feedback module is provided with a holding register 54 for drawing the intermediate value from the feedback RAM, and this register routes the intermediate value to the calculation module.
