PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor for a fuel cell, capable of preventing damage to the fuel cell even if a keeper dose not always stay in a field. SOLUTION: This monitor device for a fuel cell is provided with a flowmeter 61 for detecting the fuel flow to a fuel cell 12, a watt-meter 63 for detecting the output power of the fuel cell 12, a computing means 64 for computing the efficiency of the fuel cell 12 on the basis of the fuel flow and the output power detected by the flowmeter 61 and the wattmeter 63, and an inspection means 65 for inspecting whether the efficiency computed by the computing means 64 is in the predetermined appropriate efficiency range or not. When an abnormality is generated in the fuel cell 12 and the efficiency of the fuel cell 12 is out of the predetermined appropriate efficiency range, generation of abnormality in the fuel cell 12 is automatically detected, and informed to a user so as to avoid damage to the fuel cell 12. |
