PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unbalance of loads by operating the assignment of storage areas for dividing and storing a database. SOLUTION: Plural set key ranges are made correspondent to plural data storage areas provided in a storage device and when storing data in the database, these data are stored in the data storage area corresponding to the key range including these data. When the assignment request of the data storage area and the key range is accepted, these data storage area and key range are made correspondent. Thus, since the data storage area can be made correspondent to the key range, to which a large number of or a little data are assigned, the unbalance of loads to the respective data storage areas can be reduced.
