STARTING CURRENT CONTROL METHOD FOR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A starting current control method for compressor is provided to allow the compressor to be started at an optimized state by adjusting the amount of voltage being fed to the compressor in accordance with seasonal variations. CONSTITUTION: A starting current control method comprises a first step(S1 to S3) of detecting an outdoor temperature around the compressor and transferring the detected temperature to a control unit, when a compressor driving signal is received; a second step(S4) of determining a phase control pulse width for adjusting the voltage being supplied to the compressor in accordance with the outdoor temperature detected in the first step; a third step(S5 to S8) of providing the phase controlled voltage to the compressor for a predetermined time period according to the phase control pulse width determined in the second step, and providing a capacity for driving the compressor; and a fourth step(S9) of stopping operation of the compressor when a compressor stoppage signal is received.
