antitank, antiaircraft and space rocket complexes. SUBSTANCE: range to target is measured first with the use of range finder in limited scope of ranges. One adjusted value of range is set, then it is converted to boundary values of scope of measured ranges. After measurement of range to target with the use of range finder either measured value if it satisfies conditions of missile encounter with target or set value if measured value does not satisfies conditions of task is entered into computer. Boundaries of scope of measured ranges are selected depending on set value of range by laws determined by type of target and type of missile. Device for realization of method has register of established range, comparison circuits, register of output data, permanent storage, multiplexer, flip-flop, transmitter and receiver of electromagnetic energy, digital indicator, pulse counter and control bus. Invention makes it possible to unify system of range measurement and to use its output data in various armament complexes comprising artillery and controlled weapons of several types, to raise noise immunity and to automate process of information entry.
