PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a temporary link set by a user are provided to offer a link for at least one page requested from the user by adding it to a part of a web browser or a web page to which the user will move. CONSTITUTION: A web server(101) comprises a link providing module(103) and plural web pages(105) and is connected with a user terminal(111) of a user(109) through a network(107). The user terminal(111) composes a web browser such as an Internet explorer. The user(109) reads the web page provided by the web server(107) through the web browser. History link information is recorded to the user terminal(111) as cookie information or session information. The history link information is recorded by the link providing module(103) of the web server(107). A program source of the web page(105) of the web server(107) extracts the history link information recorded to the user terminal(111) and provides to the user(109) the web page including the extracted history link information.
