PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus which can form a strong static magnetic field matching the conventional superconducting magnet and, in addition, can make the intensity distribution of the magnetic field uniform without using the freezing medium which is indispensable to the operation of the conventional superconducting magnet. SOLUTION: This nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus is provided with a cup-like high-temperature superconductor 20 which is constituted to be cooled to a superconducting transition temperature or lower in a vacuum insulating container 22 and has a hollow cylindrical shape or a hollow cylindrical section and a detection coil 12 which detects the NMR signal of an object to be measured 11 inserted into the hollow cylindrical section 20a of the superconductor 20, generates a static magnetic field in the hollow cylindrical section 20a in the axial direction by magnetizing the superconductor 20 in the axial direction, and detects the NMR signal of the object 11 put in the magnetic field by means of the detection coil 12 and an already existing spectrometer. |
