PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporting device for sheet materials, such as photosensitive materials, which is capable of realizing the correction of the misalignment in the transverse direction of the sheet materials by a guide means with a simple structure and is capable of relieving the pressure on the flanks of the sheet materials during correction. SOLUTION: The guide means 11 for regulating the flanks in the direction transverse to the transporting direction of the sheet materials 5 has inlet parts 23 and 24 which are formed like a cantilever and are deformable in the transverse direction.
