IMMUNOASSAY FOR LSD AND 2-OXO-3-HYDROXY-LSD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new lysergic acid diethylamide(LSD) and an iso-LSD, a new hapten and a new immunogen of an oxidized LSD and an antibody derived from the immunogen and to provide a method for immunoassay utilizing the antibody. SOLUTION: This hapten derivative is useful for preparing the antigen, the antibody and a reagent used for the immunoassay for detecting the LSD and 2-oxo-3-hydroxy-LSD. The 2-oxy-LSD nucleus is derivatized from an indole nitrogen to form an aminoalkyl derivative. The resultant hapten is subsequently further modified at a functionalized position for connection thereof to a suitable immunogenic group or a labeling group to afford the reagent for the immunoassay having substantially equal specificity for both the LD and the 2-oxo-3-hydroxy-LSD.
