PURPOSE: To provide a connector wherein contacts are grouped by for each use in advantageous configuration for handling high speed signals. CONSTITUTION: Plural conductive contacts 23 are held by an insulator 21. These conductive contacts are grouped for each use and are formed into plural contact groups 24 adjacent to each other in a first direction. A1. The conductive contacts in each group are arranged in a second direction A2 perpendicular to the first direction. Among those contact groups, the contact group outermost in the first direction A1 is allocated to the high speed signal as a specific contact group.
