PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a cyclic polyether compound by which application to the synthesis of gambierol can be carried out and the convergent cyclic polyether skeleton is synthesized at room temperature in high yield without using a phosphate compound in a large excess. SOLUTION: The cross-coupling of an alkylborane with a cyclic ketene acetal phosphate is carried out in the presence of a basic aqueous solution by using [1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]palladium chloride as a catalyst.
