PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnostic method of a lining body formed by coating a lining material on a base material. SOLUTION: This diagnostic method of deterioration of the lining, body 1 formed by coating the lining material 3 on the base material 4 comprises a step for measuring adhesion force K between the base material and the lining material in a lining body sample piece, a step for measuring acoustic impedance Z of the lining body sample piece based on an ultrasonic resonance method, a step for detecting an amplitude value F of an ultrasonic wave entering the lining body sample piece from the value of the acoustic impedance, a step for determining a relation formula between the amplitude vague and the adhesion force value, a step for measuring the acoustic impedance of the lining body which is an inspection object based on the ultrasonic resonance method, and detecting the amplitude value of the ultrasonic wave entering the lining body from the value of the acoustic impedance, and a step for detecting the adhesion force of the lining body which is the inspection object from the amplitude value and the relation formula.
