PURPOSE:To prolong the useful life of a platen, by changing over a starting phase for a paper-feeding pulse motor on the basis of a paper feed quantity stored in a non-volatile memory when a power source is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:Data counted up each time of one rotation of the paper-feeding pulse motor 15 are stored in the non-volatile memory 13. When the power source is turned ON, the content stored in the memory 13 is discriminated by a micro- processor 11, and the starting phase for the motor 15 is changed over only at the time of initial setting. Namely, by supplying the counted value stored in the memory 13 to a paper feed controlling part 14, the motor 15 is controlled, and the starting phase for the motor 15 can be changed over. Accordingly, abrasion of the platen 1 is made to be uniform, and the useful life thereof can be judged. |
