PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material wire for thermal spraying which has excellent and exact feeding performance, is uniformly distributed with alloy elements and therefore warrants the manufacture of a wear resistant and corrosion resistant molding. SOLUTION: A covering 12 of the material wire for thermal spraying having the one covering 12 and one packing material 14 for forming the molding which consists of an aluminum/silicon alloy and has excellent wear resistance and tribology characteristics by a wire arc flame spraying method consists of the one aluminum base alloy containing the aluminum and at least one kind of other alloy components, for example, magnesium or manganese.
