PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding mechanism which can be assembled in optical equipment without play and backlash and further without requiring an adjusting element by avoiding the known shortcoming of a solution to a focusing drive, and produced at proper cost. SOLUTION: This focusing drive is equipped with a rack made of synthetic resin including a sliding rod held in parallel as a guiding means and equipped with many supporting elements.
