PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite sheet having a surface which prevents the desorption of graphite powder from its surface while maintaining thermal conductivity and pliability, is excellent in insulatability, is chemically stable and is lessened in thermal resistance. SOLUTION: The surface of the graphite sheet is provided with an organic polymer thin film by an electrodeposition method, by which the graphite sheet of good quality having such characteristics, as a uniform thickness, the excellent electrical insulatability and pliability, the lower tendency of the graphite powder to desorption and the small thermal resistance may be provided.
