PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring-type seal material which can secure high seal performance even under the application of the gas that has high permeability against rubber material, and has simple structure as well as good operational effectiveness and enables the miniaturization of an allocated space. SOLUTION: A part of a circumferential O-ring 11 is formed as the elastic section 12 which is possible to expand and contract, and other part of the circumferential O-ring except 12 is formed as the multi-layer section 13 which has the high penetration resistance to a gas. The multi-layer section 13 is constituted of the metallic core material 14 and the rubber film 15 that covers the surface side of the core material. The flexibility of the elastic section 12 makes the installation of the O-ring easy and effective. The O-ring 11 keeps seal property highly by the multi-layer part 3 which is superior in its resistance to gas penetration.
