PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof molding structure for a vehicle capable of expanding space within a compartment by making a groove part mounted with molding shallow with excellent outward appearance. SOLUTION: In the roof molding structure in which a bracket 14 for mounting a vehicle exterior equipment is fixed to a bottom surface of the groove part 2 along front and rear directions formed on a roof 1, the molding 3 is mounted on an upper part of the groove part 2, an opening part 7 for facing the bracket 14 is formed on the molding 3 and the opening part 7 is closed with a cap 11, the bracket 14 has a proximity surface part adjacent to an upper surface of the molding 3 and a receiving part 16 located away from the proximity surface part in the front and rear directions and receiving a leg part 12 of the cap 11. A fastening means for mounting the vehicle exterior equipment is arranged on a lower surface of the proximity surface part. The cap 11 is mounted on the molding 3 or the bracket 14 so as to be substantially flush with the upper surface of the molding 3.
