<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose and remove malodorous gas, harmful gas, combustible gas, mildews, bacteria, and the like, emitted during storage or deposited in the outside from a solid fuel produced from combustible refuses, organic wastes, sewage sludge, or the like. SOLUTION: At least either the surfaces or the insides of solidified wastes containing refuses or organic wastes such as sewage sludge are coated with a photocatalyst, or at least either the inside or the outside of a waste storage container is coated with a photocatalyst; thus, the photocatalyst absorbs sunlight or light from an artificial light source to form radicals rich in oxidizing action, removing harmful gas and malodorous gas emitted by the wastes and preventing the occurrence of bacteria, mildews, and the like, in the wastes.</p> |
